Constitution and Context
Joy is currently a Blood Daemon (50,000+ bps) with no sire and no childer.
Powers: Has learned everything the city’s guilds have to teach, no additional magic or powers learned.
Enhancements: Now we're talking shop, mechanically speaking. Joy is a self identified Vampiroid, humanoid in her exterior and heavily robotic beneath the surface. Through a mix of science and magic Joy's body operates with harmony between flesh and machine. While she acknowledges her internal workings verbally, physically she shy's from any mechanical tendencies.
Age: Appears to be in her early twenties, though her real age is unknown. Her memory is spotty at best.
Build: While 135 pounds, give or take a few, the build at her height (5’ 8”) appears lithesome, yet slightly curvaceous at the hips. Her legs and arms are kept toned from rigorous outdoor climbing and running, mostly along buildings. Her physical health would seem unquestionable if not for her commonly disheveled appearance on any given night. Joy is not afraid to get dirty or make a mess of her body.
Hair and Eyes: Naturally her hair/eyes are both black/dark brown, but with dye and contacts she will often change it to whatever she is currently in the mood for. In recent years she has kept her hair platinum blood and for at least 12 years she has maintained green eyes. When she takes out her contacts, her eyes show their true color. While ordinarily her hair is shoulder length with ringlet curls, Joy will sometimes straighten her hair and/or go out in extensions that make her hair appear longer.
Skin: Adorns the classic pale skin stereotypical of the undead. The paleness hides any hint of previous ethnicity held in her human lifetime of which she wouldn't remember anyhow. Joy has no tattoos or special markings of any kinda and her only piercings are in her ears. She has attempted to tattoo herself in the past, but her skin comes and goes through accident or upgrade and tattoos become lost with the flesh stripped away.

Her Time in Lines - Jauk to Joy
(As Best Remembered To Be - Edits Welcome As PMs)
Jan 12th, 2004: Jauk joins the city, following her sire Engel, a vampire with whom she would have no other contact with from that point until the vampire’s final death months later.
For the first few months Jauk had no idea there was any real community for vampires in the city and that, instead, she was on her own. After making her own map she attempted to sell it by shouting about it at strangers in the city. She could sell only one before running into a vampire that gave her directions to the Freedom Trade Alliance. The organization was meant to help new citizens learn about how to gain powers, join clans, make friends and be active. From there she would apply to join The Sun Clan who’s application center was broken at the time and thus never replied. Because of this, after some time waiting with no response from The Sun Clan, she applied instead to join The Shadow Court and was accepted into their training grounds by Nemesis (Nemesis_wings at the time).
While in the SC Dojo she met some of her greatest friends at the time: gmanusrex, xanthippa (later, an enemy), Kreacher (who would go on to be sire, then wife), Nemesis, anotherSOB (later, an enemy due to inappropriate behavior with Jauk which would get him removed from the SC entirely), blaZe (later, an enemy when discovered to be a spy by Jauk), whitelightfell (friend and then fiancé, before becoming enemy after discovered to be a traitor to the clan by Jauk), LadyDarkness, EvilMoonGirl (friend, then childer for a short while), Corinthian (friend, then partner), ophelia, evilive_inc, Lucius, and many more.
After progressing in the school to becoming a teacher Jauk finally graduated entirely, being allowed to choose her path in the Clan proper. Under the tutelage of her former Dojo teacher, blaZe, Jauk had learned how to spy and gather intel. During this time she was able to gather intel that blaZe was an alias and, in fact, spying on the SC. When this information was brought to her superiors it came out that Jauk had been right and that he was also a member of The Inner Circle, under lady What The. TiC had no knowledge of blaZe’s double life, but accepted him into their clan fully despite it while the SC cast him out. Jauk took the traitorship especially hard as he had been a close teacher and thought of him as a grave nemesis for a long, long while. For his part, blaZe admitted her never thought Jauk would be capable, even with his training, to be able to discover and out him, which made the win bitter. Always a balance, life became sweet again when Jauk sired under her long time teacher and friend Kreacher.
Also, during her time in the SC, while engaged to Whitelightfell, she became aware of her fiance’s plans to mass exodus from their shared clan with his students. His plan was to take as many people as he could with him to start his own clan using SC resources and information. When he asked Jauk to join she agreed, but in truth went to Nemesis with the information and had Whitelightfell cast out of the clan along with his newly discovered mistress and co-consort aslinblue. Later, while Jauk was in a different clan some time later, Whitelightfell would enslave a human in a basement with his new partner. The two of them would give a crude surgery to the human to make her appear to look like Jauk, dressing her in the then famous pink tutu Jauk often wore. After this, the two of them would then mutilate Jauk’s human copycat as a show of hatred to Jauk. The most pathetic part was that this wasn't even an original idea - it was a copy cat idea stolen from the vampire Lucius who'd just done it for the vampiress spookie a few weeks prior. After this incident Moondreamer steals Jauk’s tutu and disposes of it once and for all from the vampiress life (later noted as happening in 2006).
Eventually, after some personal family issues (to do with the iL Caduto/Tel’Duin line) lead to another former SC friend, xanthippa, becoming an enemy Jauk no longer felt a close bond in the clan. Having graduated from the familiar faces of The Dojo, the clan proper was a strange place with few people she had a bond with. During this feeling of unrest Jauk had been spying, under an alias, on Clan Archangel. There she had met SCORPIOUS1 and felt him to be kind, honest, sincere and all around lovely to be near. When he confided in her that, with his good friend EsBeacy, he would be breaking away from Clan Archangel Jauk confided in him her secret identity and asked to join his clan as her true self. He happily accepted her and so she left the SC. By now, the family troubles had caused Kreacher to regress into shadows leaving Jauk without a sire. It was at this time Jauk sired under SCORPIOUS1.
Oct 2005: The Nitty Gritty publication is distributed by it’s owner and writer, Jauk, in The Dark Roost Café, owned by Autumnfq and EsBeacy. Sometime close to this happening nominations are requested for the first ever RavenBlack City Awards show, also hosted by Jauk.
Sometime after establishing a side business inside of Autumn and EsBeacy’s café Jauk fell out of love with EsBeacy. His narcissistic behavior was as off putting as how he used his power to prey on women sexually, despite being married. Leaving his clan she joined up with Hesu in the Sanctuary of Immortal Enlightenment (SIE) and found a home she loved, once again. Hesu and her band of amazing teachers were loyal, loving, caring and fantastic at helping Jauk grow. Thriving at this time personally, as well as professional Jauk began an era of confidence to be her own person and grow.
“Then on June 16th, 2006 the vampiress Jauk announces that The Ravenblack City Nitty Gritty Newspaper finally opens its own building, allowing the citizens of Ravenblack to gather together to discuss the latest happenings.” On this same day she sires under ophelia, having taken a month without a sire, when previously she was sire-bound to SCORPIOUS1. During this month it was discussed that she would sire under Lucius, who at the time considered ophelia an enemy after their divorce. When he offered his bond as sire it was with the warning that if she chooses to instead sire under ophelia he would end their friendship. As a Priestess in Lucius’s Temple of Lies and someone who considered him a close friend, it was upsetting to be faced with the threat to be cast away. In the end, the true sire appeared to Jauk to be ophelia, who gave Jauk no such ultimatums and instead encouraged her to try to make peace with Lucius. Ever Jauk's champion, ophelia would continue to work to bring out the best in Jauk until her 5th marriage some 11 years later when they would part paths.
“July 2006: Jauk announces splitting ownership of the Nitty Gritty with the vampiress Nemesis, creating the then infamous 'Good Cop, Bad Cop' duo.”

February 2007: The (mad) scientist Matej and Jauk approach EvilBill for magical assistance in welding a pair of bronzed feet to Jauk’s ankles, replacing her biological feet. EvilBill had offered his dark services using one of the Church of Blood's alters. The bronzed feet had come from a statue of Capadocious, with his permission. While helping, EvilBill had fallen into an argument with Matej and felt it was caused by Jauk setting him up. He had decided to zero Jauk over it. The history is a little fuzzy. EvilBill, at this time, is sire to Moirai who has great distaste for Jauk over her sour relationship with his wife xanthippa and some previous sourings over his bad behavior on her paper (which got him punished and banned). It was one of the last events before Jauk went dead and buried due to being burned out over her newspaper and awards show work. As she laid peacefully resting surrounded by friends and family in the Lokason family home, EvilBill continued to rain his assult, taking her to zero just as she fell into the deepest shadows - Dead and Buried.
2007: March 15th, the Nitty Gritty is closed for good as Jauk had gone Dead and Burried the day before.
May 4th, 2010: Returned to the city, coming out of the grave part vampire-part zombie during the reanimation. It would take nearly a year of magical works, surgery and voodoo to remove the zombification from her body with the help of Enid Black, Yorgie and Nemesis.
Shortly after waking Jauk is offered a job as a journalist for the then most popular paper, “The Bite”. She has no memories of doing this job, but remembers the paper for the most part. It slowly becomes apparent to Jauk that she'd come back from dead and buried too soon and both her body and mind couldn't bear it just yet. Her personal life suffered a newly found temper, easily irritated personality, and over all negative nature which weighted heavily on her ability to find happiness and fulfillment.
Sometime in between 2010 and 2012 Jauk exchanges holy water with Damari over a heated argument in which Damari maliciously calls Jauk the ‘n-word’, with intent to use it in its most horrible form in order to prove a point about it.
2011: Jan 16 - House of Lateralus zeros Jauk. Jauk cannot recall this at all and doesn’t believe it to have happened. If it did happen, it was probably because she poked at them the wrong way. It is not really a big deal as her blood is very low at this point seeing as how she’d just woken up from Dead and Buried at zero. So there's that. Also they suck.
2012: Sep 19 - The House of Lateralus begins to attack Jauk for attacking a family member. It was a stupid spat because someone in their family was named something Zombie, RaveZombie perhaps, and Jauk was offended that there was more than one zombie in the city. It was all very petulant and distructive, indicative of what Jauk was like at that time. These were her dark years which ophelia bore her childer with a heavy heart, though never stopped loving and supporting her. At the advice of another, Jauk decided she had no need to participate in her zeroing and goes into shadows, leaving the city for a few years.
2016: In Oct Jauk returned to the city once again with little fanfare, just simply appearing and jumping into activity as if she’d never left. It is the return she wished she’d had at her previous time, which she felt had been premature. A now perfectly cooked Jauk, no longer so raw and chewy, was ready to serve the city…minus a few hiccups in the beginning as she found her sea legs.
Upon her return to the city she’d discovered her sire married to someone new, Damacus, and was now sharing a joint lineage under the LAF (Lokason Agrippa Family [Loathsome Aggressive Fuckers, to insiders]) name. Jauk is also, at this time, on a quest to attempt to find a pet, but after some disasters is gifted a fern and twin glass swans by her sister Malice.
2017: After unsuccessfully finding romance with Archontohs, but successfully finding a friend in him, Jauk then found herself single in this year for a time. Later, after knowing only of Sacri and Sacri only knowing of Jauk, the two married after meeting perhaps once or twice both times for less than 5 minutes. It seems like destiny and true, unfiltered love for Jauk though it was never certain what exactly it was to Sacri. Their marriage would last just over a year, ending with a note in the night by Sacri. Jauk finds herself leaning more and more on Malice as a friend and advisor, in good times and especially in bad. While a bad year for love, it was also a bad year for new ventures. With help from friends like Archontohs and Liski, but mostly Lannair Cuan, Jauk works to create a Welcoming Committee for what she hoped would help get new citizens into RavenBlack City. A handbook was made, a committee was formed, buildings were erected, advertisements made and sent out, and all would end up being for naught save for the bonds she formed doing the work. Her work with writing for the Necro would, at least, continue to go well under the leadership and counsel of Liski.
2018: Jauk earns and accepts entry into the full use of the Agrippa name (May 13th, 2018) after a tumultuous relationship with Damacus ends up being a great friendship. In order to accomplish this Jauk uses rose colored glasses to avoid seeing allllllll the red flags before and behind her. Damacus convinces Jauk and others that it is through their own faults and short comings that they have issue with him, but that he loves them dearly and wants to help them be their best. Using her insecurities concerning past mistakes to aggressively and persistently urge her to not be 'irrational and immature' about things she 'didn't understand' in her simpleness, Dama kept Jauk close. Without her realizing it Damacus effortlessly manipulated and deflected her feelings of wrong away from himself and onto her. Lannair works as house mediator, taking on sessions with LAF members to try and help them through difficult family problems. It is all that keeps the family running in any sort of a healthy, loving, or supportive manner. Jauk utilizes Lann's services often, but also continues to find comfort in Malice, her other half of the 'Betty' team. Very shortly after (June 1st, 2018) accepting the Agrippa name alongside her long held Lokason name, with no reason given to the public other than not being worthy, Jauk removes the Agrippa name and readorns solely the Lokason family name. (June 31st) She would, for a time, rejoin the family and grapple greatly with it's internal workings and her great love for the members within. (Aug 4th, 2018) She would go on to sever ophelia in secret for a few days, siring back to try and work things out for what would end up being one final and fruitless time. Jauk begins to see that the problems she has and hurt she feels are all stemming from Damacus through ophelia and confronts ophelia about her part in it a few times. Few outsiders would get to know how truly high the highs and low the lows of the family had been.
June 10th, 2018: Jauk swears her alliance to The Ferrymen, ally to her family, and becomes an active participant. Here she grows a closer bond with Liski, who leads her through from the Corridor to Fully Ferry.
June 31st, 2018: Jauk rejoins herself to the Agrippa name, thoughtful of what kept her away, but hopeful that it wouldn't be a continuous problem.
Aug 4th, 2018: Jauk severs ophelia and removes both the Agrippa and Lokason name for good.
Aug 6th, 2018: Okay so when we said for good, what we meant was oops. Jauk resires under ophelia.
2019: While things would only get better and better within her clan family, things would crumble dramatically within her blood family. Jauk decides to walk away from all of her blood bonds and even her own name with blind faith that those who truly love her will stay bonded to her without it. It would start as a tremendously difficult year and work towards becoming one of her best yet, on a personal level. Joy's new found pride and comfort in herself lent to being able to better love and appreciate the good people she knew, not take for granted what she had, and to continue to grow and be better. This would not come without slides, but life is shoots and ladders. After severing from ophelia Joy moves into the Cuan's island to be closer to Malice and her husband Lannair Cuan, who at this point had been like parents to her for a long while. At a time when she thought she had lost everything she looked around and found that she was doubly blessed, finding a strong family in her Ferrymen brothers and sisters as well.
May 3rd, 2019: Joy severs ophelia again, despite loving her dearly, to get away from Damacus whom ophelia kept close to her.
May 5th, 2019: Jauk, in name, had become a fix persona some people felt an ownership of leading to her legally changing her name to Joy. By changing her name to Joy she gave herself the forced opportunity to tell people who she was all over again, on her terms.
