Elbee was born to a couple of humans she mostly refers to as ''enormous hippies''. They lovingly raised her, let her freely express her creative side and brought her to parties where she developed a preference toward introversion. She performed well academically in school, and was an active member of her gradeschool's extracurricular dance program. When she was young, Elbee says that her parents "died in a freak accident at Burning Man" and she became ward of the state.
Being treated like a victim by some foster families and a burden by others, she soon got into the Cryptozoology community as cryptids were more interesting to her than real people and she was able to make friends from a distance with the shared interest. Her favorite show is Parahunters, which features a ragtag team of paranormal activity experts who investigate stories and sightings of cryptids and ghosts all around the Continental U.S..
Sometime in early October 2018, Parahunters ran a brief segment on a city that was just a days' train ride from her apartment. She went missing just three days after it aired on national television. Her roommates described seeing her lightly packing a backpack and talking about a daytrip to the nearby city of Ravenblack. She would never return.
