History: Scarlett had a normal childhood up until her 16th birthday, when her parents separated. It was such a hard time for Scarlett, her mother moved to the east coast never to be heard from again, then her father simply dumped Scarlett off in some dingy hotel in the middle of no where, leaving her alone in the world to fend for herself.
Scarlett traveled twon to town hitch hiking, looking for work where ever she could find it. Living off the streets was rough for her, she never got much sleep always afraid she would end up in some guys basement strapped to a bed or dead. Each town seemed worse and worse, until she ended up in raven black, around the age of 21.
Scarlett didn't know much about the city, she began looking for work simply walking the streets, entering small shop after small shop, each owner said things like " no go away", "sorry we don't hire street trash", " get out your stinking up the place", and "your scaring the children get out."
She was quickly becoming discouraged at the thought of not being able to finally settled down and find a home. She walked into a tiny corner pub, which was busy as could be. She walked to the bar and asked the bartender "are you hiring?" The gentle behind the bar pointed to a door towards the back of the room. She knocked and quickly bolted for the door, dodging drunk and incoherent people as she went. She knocked on the door, an elderly woman answered and quickly stated "the bathrooms are at the other end of the bar."
Scarlett smiled and very politely asked "are you hiring? I am new to the city and..."
The elderly woman cut her off seeing the state the young woman was in and motioned for Scarlett to step inside.
After a short conversation the elderly lady, named Rose. Hired her and offered her a small room upstairs for the time being until Scarlett could afford her own place.
After a few months of being swept off her feet with how busy the bar was, and how good the tips had been she bought a small one bedroom apartment about 20 minutes away by cab on a good day, it wasn't much but it was hers. She continued to work at the pub, and living her life in the vast city of raven black.
