Both individual beings, Liander and Vex, heard it. Felt it. Each was acutely aware of the presence of the other at that moment, in the way one is aware of a gnat on the edge of their perception. Liander in the Manor's library, Vex getting his dick sucked in the middle of an alleyway, each considering the other for more than the moment's relevance they normally deserved. Bricks of the barrier shifted once more, a collapsing of their mutual refused understanding. Liander at the forefront of Vex’s thoughts as he came. Someday, Liander would be on his knees, and in that moment, Liander knew it, too.
