He has only ever had three banners, ever, in the history of his character, and another would be great. It can either have his name, some quote to do with the ocean, or no words at all. Preferably photos of Devran with short hair (newer ones), but long will do just fine.

If you know anything about John at all, go with that. If not: ocean, sailing, etc. He's a sailor. That's pretty much it. Anything ocean-themed.
