seriously tex your banners are astounding. and bc you mentioned it earlier i love how the contrast between his and nyxx's is like fire and water. >_> it's cool af and really pleasing to look at

You already know how jealous I am of that lighting thing you did. I love that it brightens up the picture, but the models face stays dark, like how it would with the light source being behind her. It's imaginative and gorgeously crafted. And that avatar pairs great with it. I'm a fan of the no-text approach. I think any text would take away from the model, the vibe, and the overall flow of the image.

Lily is spot on.

The banner and the avatar are perfectly paired. To me, it has almost a Catholic church feel that gives me goosebumps. I think it's the way that everything has a sharp angle to it, reminds me of the stain glass windows of a church I went to when I was younger.

The banner itself has good contrast between the vibrant colors and the desaturated hue of the model.

that's exactly what i was going for. the stained glass thing. i put the mother mary there, because i wasn't sure people would get the reference, and i wanted to aid it along. the neon-sign 'halo' (i picked the 'neon sign' feel so that it'd give it a modern / boozy kind of vibe?) is actually a demon summoning sigil from somewhere. i got the black spikes for the 'halo shine' as a black-on-white vector, then had to clean up the edges. the veil and flowers were from other sources (honestly, heck if i know), but this is what i started with.

tbf i started with a pretty clear picture that was pre-edited and didn't need any heavy editing, in and of itself. that's always so helpful.

that being said i have a problem one i'm working on that i'm about to throw up in the advice thread.
