There are often as many right ways to do things as things to do themselves. When it comes to how to treat new or inexperienced citizens, the opinions scattered across the board. Highlights include quotes from:

The short answer is no. New members of any organization (workplace, clan, family, social group) are not treated the same for a reason: they are learning.

We should still respect them as a person, but those of us who have been here for years are elders for a reason.

This is an astounding no for me.

1 - Being given a basic amount of respect because you exist and being given respect for your accomplishments are two different things.

ETA- As far as new citizens marrying, building, or anything else...if you have it, flaunt it- in business, romance and anything else because we NEED fresh, new, variety....in EVERY landscape here. Please!

Basic rule of life: Treat others how you want to be treated

In long: Powers DO NOT make a person. I think everyone deserves a baseline respect. But I do think with time, comes growth — for anyone — and growth is what should be respected.

Should they be treated the same as someone that's been here eleventy million years - no. Should they be treated fairly and respectfully until otherwise warranted. Absolutely.

ppl frm all walks of life can and shud b allowed to do all of this shit. ppl can then decide if they wanna join these ventures go to these establishments n join these clans.

If they act like shit humans who don't want to learn how to become better at food and money, then treat them like the toddlers they want to be treated as.

The people have spoken and by a landslide! There was a time when fledglings and reappearing hermits were thought of as ill-suited to take on business ventures, host events, or even have a strong opinion publicly. While there are still some reservations about qualifications towards leadership, the ability to answer for misdeeds, and concerns over predatory romance risks - generally, the city offers a fair chance for all on equal grounds.
