WEAPONS
This section covers weapon basics and how to use them.
The ultimate goal of weapon usage is to reduce a target (or targets) to 0 blood.
Keep in mind that after being hit with a weapon, the target must move of their own volition before a weapon can successfully be used on them again. This is amazingly important and useful information, and we'll cover it more in the Warfare lesson, but keep these basics in mind:
What counts as a move?
VIAL OF HOLY WATER
Useful against vampires with over 1300 pints of blood, and more effective the higher the blood level. One vial of Holy Water will inflict blood loss according to the following formula:
GARLIC SPRAY
Once a target drops below 1350, we switch weapons from HW to GS. A single cannister of Garlic Spray does 25-50 pints of damage regardless of your target's blood. With Shadows(3) you have the option to use 2 GS at once rather than just one, increasing your range to 50-100 pints of damage. GS is used to 200 pints; anything below that requires a...
WOODEN STAKE
Once your target is at or below 200 pints, a wooden stake will give you a clean 0. These weapons are useless against anyone with over 200 pints. If a stake is planned, we always hold back one hitter to deliver the final blow.
SCROLL OF TURNING
Originally intended to clear out full (blue) squares, the Scroll of Turning does not require you to stand in your target's square. Rather, you stand outside and read the scroll in your target's direction.
These are useful for warfare as they knock 10 pints off after each successful hit (25% success rate on vampires with Stam(3)). These are useful if a target is low on blood and all hitters have hit.
This is the only ‘weapon’ that can be used multiple times on the same target.
UV GRENADE
Used like a Scroll of Turning, these grenades explode and cause damage to anyone sitting together in a square, however they are not effective in buildings (banks, pubs, houses, shops, transits, etc.). These are high cost weapons that deal 100-150 pints worth of damage, regardless of blood level, and they can be used to hit shadowed vampires.
Alternatively, since they do a fixed average 125 pints of damage, some people will use UVGs as opposed to HW/GS once a vampire reaches ~3000 pints. While this is much more costly, the avergae damage per hit is greater than hitting with either HW or GS.
SUMMARY
CANDY
While candy (Candy Cane or Chocolate Ghost) is not a weapon in the traditional sense, it serves a very important purpose for combat.
If you eat any piece of candy, you'll gain 1-3 pint of blood and +1-3 (net) AP.
This can be an invaluable edge in live fights, giving you more energy and allowing you more freedom if needed. Pieces of candy are event only items, meaning they are not sold anywhere (although in the past, people have auctioned off their candy for around 20k a pop). That being said, DO NOT WASTE OR SELL YOUR CANDY.
Always keep your candy on hand and available to you. That extra energy boost from a sugar rush might mean the difference between life and a stake.

What counts as a move?
- Moving from one square to another
- Teleporting/Displacing yourself/Sprinting
- Being dragged by a Scroll of Bondage/Summoning
- Attacking something in your square (biting/robbing/hitting with a weapon/etc.) so long as you yourself don't move your feet
- Someone else using a scroll of displacement on you
- Being hit with/moved by a Scroll of Turning
- Using a Blood Potion
