Blackout 2025

In the early hours of March 1st, the city of Ravenblack was plunged into darkness. A sudden blackout struck from approximately 1:30 to 4:30 AM EST, leaving denizens in darkness for approximately three hours. Streetlights flickered out, homes went dark, and residents caught outside with jingling pockets found themselves enveloped in an eerie silence, wondering to themselves if some pranksters had struck an month early.

Among the bewildered citizens was a man who identified himself only as Screech*, clad in a full-body pterodactyl furry suit. "This is exactly how it starts," he warned, eyes wide beneath his foam beak. "First, the power goes. Then the gateways open. Then - Look, I don’t want to say too much, but let’s just say... they don’t want us to know." Despite prompting, Screech refused to elaborate on his theory.

City officials have not released a statement. Was it a technical failure? A deliberate act? Or, as Screech insists, something far more ominous? For now, the lights are back on and the city has returned to its regular hustle.
