In the early afternoon of October 16th, several members of the House of Silence led by Daly launched an offensive against Damacus Agrippa.

Damacus, who was Lost in Shadows, was hit by approximately 8 UVGs. Neither Damacus nor House Agrippa have yet to retaliate.

When asked for comment, Daly and Damacus both remained tight-lipped, with Daly declining to comment. Damacus had not responded to a request for commentary at the time of publication.

• Vex: Would you be willing to discuss the conflict between HoS and Damacus?
  Daly: I decline to comment on an ongoing conflict.

Hello, Everyone! Vex is clearly busy; too busy, in fact, to keep up on the daily updates for this conflict. So, what’s a man to do? Clearly, he picks up his phone and asks yours truly to dust off her old Grimoire war correspondent hat and keep track of what’s going on since I’m way less busy these days. So, without further adieu, I bring to you---

War From the Lawnchair - Remiiiiiix

Since the scent of irrelevance permeates the air most nights around the Bathhouse, I figure a very quick bio is in order to explain why some dood that doesn’t even like me gave me this temp gig. One, I have a 8-1 record in battle in this city. Two, I have two stakes to my record--one for each side in this current conflict in fact. Three, I’ve had the nickname Warrior Barbie for six years now, which makes me perfectly suited for the job. I’m sure if you mix all this up, you can at least understand even if you don’t give a horse’s ass.

We are now officially in Day Three of this...war...conflict...warlette… okay, I have no idea what to call this damn thing because the only thing that has happened is 1-4 more UVs going off a few hours after Vex’s initial report and a lot of silence. I’m calling it early---in the future, this will be known as the War of Silence™.

In fact, the only other action that has gone down in the last day is the expense report I just handed in to the AB for an upgraded lawnchair to plant my ass in and these two crickets that were copulating a few feet away from me last night (see evidence below*).

Obviously there isn’t a whole lot going on right now, which means nothing to analyze, but as I find out, you’ll find out. If you have anything you want me to analyze or if you just want to hate on me, feel free to comment. If you’re a pussy, you can hit me up in my DM. Until then, I’ll be off getting a new coat, because it’s cold as shit outside this October.

War from the Lawnchair: Day Four

Update: There isn’t one. It’s quiet. Deathly quiet.

So, instead, I’ll talk about a few of the DMs I’ve gotten since my last update. I had more than one person ask me if they were a pussy if they asked war questions in private instead of commenting publically. Of course, I asked them why they wouldn’t opt to post their questions, and the answer I received was fairly consistent.

These people were afraid to say what they felt.

When I asked them more specifically why, the way they each expressed themselves was different, but the overall sentiment was the same. They’ve seen what has happened to people who spoke out against the status quo and were terrified of what would happen to them. One of these people even went so far as to say that if yours truly got eaten alive, then no one else stood a chance.

I’ll be honest. I’m distressed by this because this is a problem. I’ll have more to say once I’ve adequately wrapped my head around it, I’m sure.

I’ve also had a few people ask me in private what the premise for this conflict is. My response is simple--you have a subscription to this paper and if you haven’t been reading it for the past month or so, go do it. Once you’ve done that, you’ll know, because those of us who have, do.

Before I sign off, I have one sociological city fact that is probably interesting only to me. With the siring of Julia, Liski currently has been the clan leader (past or present), lineage head (past or present) or best friend of the heads of every major faction in this city except one. I haven’t seen a web so intricately woven since my own.
