I know that depression manifests itself differently for people, but for me, I tend to withdraw from those closest to me and I feel like I’m just a burden on them. I logically know it isn’t true, but I can’t help but have the thought. I always find it easier in those moments to talk to someone about it who knows little about me, so in case Vex has the same inclination, I figured I’d extend the offer. Obviously he doesn’t ever have to take me up on it.

It is a beautiful sentiment, though, what you’re saying. I’m happy to know Vex has people in his corner!

That is kind! I don’t think Vex and I would ever get along for long enough to be friends. That was the point of the offer. Talk to someone that isn’t a friend or family because it helps me sometimes and if he finds that it could help him, just letting him know the resource is available.


There are people in this world that hurt themselves every day even though they have friends and family aplenty who love and care for them. And sometimes it would have just taken a kind word from someone other than those people to change their trajectory! Not saying this is Vex, just an example.

Please stop derailing shit with your need to have the last word. Here's a genuine suggestion: try replying to things without using the words 'I/my/me'. Decentering your worldview from yourself might help you make some friends so you're not basically always free anymore.
