Good evening, everyone. While I'm a bit more jovial during the intro to my pieces, I believe it's important at this time to dive straight into the issue at hand.
Earlier this evening, doncey was zeroed. After multiple parties grew more and more intolerant of the way this vampire conducted themselves, the final few pints of blood were not taken by the angry mob set to lynch him, but instead by the loving arms of his own family. It's important to note here, that while I have my own grievances against doncey, I am not a member of MADS, NightWatch, or any of the other affiliated groups. So, I hope the next words are taken by the Shadowlights and Pacherontis with a grain of salt.
While it has been construed that this battle was a "30 v 1", at the time of this reporting, doncey has 20 childer, Julia has another 22. I won't pretend to say that I know which of them are active or not, but In an optimum scenario, this would be a much more level playing field. I want you to understand, that just because your sire, leader, president, or book-club magister says "Sit," that you are all individuals, capable of your own thought and actions. Any of you could have picked up your vials in defense of your kin. And what did you do instead? You enabled him.
In your silence. In your obedience. In your inability to act. In your decision to play along and take his blood yourselves. You entered this fight of your own volition. I won't pretend to know or understand or attempt to coordinate what comes next. There are calmer heads and more lenient voices. And I hope they find you.
doncey has done each of you an injustice. He didn't allow you to fight for him. He didn't allow you to bleed for him. He then turned around and made you all take his blood yourselves to "save" himself from this retribution. And as Sage was so kind to point out, he dipped from this establishment and entered his torpor, so that whatever happens over the next two weeks is your problem, not his.
doncey has done each of you an injustice. He didn't teach you the basic concepts of fighting. He didn't teach you how to reach out to people you have a problem with. He didn't teach you how to handle an active war. And now one of his childer has taken to the dirt, and another severed. Not because we wanted these people out of the city. Not because we wanted their blood. Because we wanted his. And he made you take it from us.
Sage, Zero, Corda, Sorcha, Raize, Irijkaard, you have each done yourselves an injustice. By taking doncey's word as infallible law, and refusing to question the goings on, and to put your own minds to the task at hand, you've let your loyalty blind you to the blatant issues displayed before everyone else. As a responsible community member, I intend to do my part to help hold you accountable to these injustices. Spare the vial, spoil the childe it seems. Whatever comes next, I genuinely hope you all are able to cultivate something from this.
Good luck.

Just a quick note: The NightWatch is not involved or in any way a part of this conflict. It's not their coin or weapons being used. All members of the NightWatch who are involved are self funded or part of a familial allegiance.
The NightWatch remains neutral when they need to be and will be available to continue services after this conflict is settled outside of HQ.

This would've been over the second we zeroed him.
Truly, you lot had nothing to worry about. Unlike you, we don't take "souvenirs". We don't cut people's heads off and mount them in our living room, for example, even if Julia did that to my childe when she zeroed him NINE TIMES. We don't keep people at zero. It would've been fine.
Alas and alack. When doncey said he could 'keep this going forever', I suppose he didn't mean himself.
Best of luck, you lot. You'll need it.

If any of you wish to seek further training, multiple resources are available in the Angelarium here. If you have questions after reading those documents, I am certain most of the instructors would be happy to assist regardless of your affiliation.

The whining I’m hearing about us having an unfair advantage, perhaps the former leader of the Path of Entitlement should be aware if you want to push for rules of engagement that you negotiate before having a tantrum and tossing a vial, not after.

Well, I've been speechless for hours. Good job doing the near impossible.
Make no mistake, Shadowlight-Pacherontis. You've been thrown by your own "father" into the viper's pit. Into the lion's den. But I don't need to tell you that. You've been here before.
Like we've proven before, if your sires won't educate you, we can. And we will.
Thoughts and prayers.

I confirm this. Conflict or not, that is what it is built and stands for. I speak for myself and for my home when I say, even in the midst of this, all are welcome to come, learn, and improve.
It is in the best interest of everyone to see flourishing. Healthy competition and rivalry inspires and motivates like nothing else can, and I would love to shepherd in its proper return to the City.

"YES," he says. "THAT'S EASY. I CAN'T HELP IT," she says.

I find this quite interesting but only from an entirely pleased perspective. I recall the first stolen kill - at least in my memory - in doing so and taking away the hard won kill (for lack of a better term pls don’t come at me because immortal, etc) was a further act of war because of the slight. Many wars later, it turned into a “haha thanks for saving us some coin and energy huzzah”. I suppose I’m just rambling at seeing a little bit of an older practice come into play.
Best of luck to you all on the receiving end of the cannon your sire pointed at each of you. You’ll probably need it.

It was especially amusing when folk did this to splinters contracts. The price was already set and met, taking the splinters kill simply left them with more money in the bank, and more money spent on the target. It wasn’t nearly the “own” they thought it was.ophelia wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 6:59 pmI find this quite interesting but only from an entirely pleased perspective. And it still isn’t.
