All right. Go off. Love the style. Seyda’s voice is so forceful in this. Succinct, clear. And I love the way “FACT:” at the beginning of every section makes you sit up and pay attention.

And the hint of softness toward the end? Mwah. Like getting slapped and then stroked on the cheek and then slapped again.

“Be kind or else” is such a strong damn line to end on and one of those pithy multimeaning things so choice in a manifesto. The image of scratching at tattoos is really vivid and made me physically wince. Made me ask: six showers? Why six?

The narrator voice is skirting around an issue and being vague about something like James himself is looking sideways at this Thing that happened to him. Like even now he can’t explain it to himself? Really interesting choices in the language here dude.

The start of this is so relatable, rewatching Rent at 3:30 in the morning because you don't have the brain cells to watch anything new. Felt as fuck. I love seeing vampires and werewolves and other supernaturals being Just People. I think a lot of players write slice of life stuff in between the bloodshed and the conflict and the big, sometimes dramatic arcs that they introduce. We forget that there are also a lot of really good emotional beats you can hit with small quiet moments of contemplation like this one. This feels so cozy and even hopeful! Thank you for the read <3
