The Angelarium is going to be hosting its first major event :: War Games.
War Games is what it says on the tin: a full-scale 16-day simulation of war within the City held once a year to promote skill, friendly competition, and a spark of life.
This event will be complete with commentators -- Seyda, Vex, and AdaMaS -- to give breakdowns, verify the integrity of submitted scores, and do color commentary to keep the public up to date on the latest. Additional committee members this year include Anders, event coordinator, and Annabelle, sponsorship coordinator and interviewer. Teams will be chosen at random to encourage new-found friendship, cooperation, and skill-sharing. This is not a game for warriors and warriors alone; war requires various expressions of skill, including shop hunting, sighting, strategy, negotiation, diplomacy, and more. Anyone who meets the minimum viable stock [MVS] is welcome and encouraged to participate. If you do not meet the MVS but are still interested, please still read on! There are ways for you to get in the game.
I. HOW DO I SIGN UP?

II. WHEN DO SIGN-UPS END?
Sign ups will last from now until October 1st. There will be a grace period until October 14th, during which time the commentators may accept additional late sign ups to balance our teams as needed.
III. WHEN & HOW LONG IS THE EVENT?
The event will last from October 15th to October 30th. There will be one day for team selection and drafting, 14 days for the games themselves, and a final award ceremony and after-party.
IV. HOW ARE TEAMS DETERMINED?
Teams will be determined at total random through a randomizer. However, the commentators each possess up to two hot swaps -- or swapping out one player on one team for another -- which will solely be used at their discretion to help with the balancing of teams or to accommodate ghosting as necessary.
V. WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM VIABLE STOCK REQUIREMENTS [MSV]?
Below you may find the list of minimum viable stock [MSV] for the War Games event. We ask that you please submit a screenshot of your My Vampire page with at least the following items; if you have more, great! If you do not wish to show your entire stock, that is more than understandable. The Angelarium is happy to fund Security Deposit Box keys to allow would-be challengers to place items in their deposit boxes before submitting for verification. However, please note that withdrawing stock from your bank after this submission will count as your team 'purchasing' these items for the purposes of tracking spent coin.

VI. WHAT IF I DON'T MEET THE MSV? CAN I STILL PLAY?
Yes, you may be able to! Thanks to The Angelarium and a team of sponsors, there is coin to go towards would-be challengers. Please reach out, fill out this form, and we'll be happy to see if we can meet your needs. Please note, however, that sponsorship cannot donate blood or powers; that's why we're giving you a head start to play catch-up if needed.
VII. ARE THERE WAYS TO SUPPORT THE WAR GAMES WITHOUT PLAYING THE GAME DIRECTLY?
Yes! As mentioned above, The Angelarium is welcoming sponsorship for this event. That means folks can either contribute funds to The Angelarium for transparent and direct funding towards prizes, awards, or sponsorship of challengers, or they can offer themselves up as sponsors directly. The Angelarium is happy to help coordinate as needed. Fill out this form if interested!
VIII. HOW DOES A TEAM WIN?
Commentators will be working with teams to report on blood loss and total amount of coin spent. These combined criteria make the standard win condition. However, on the first day of War Games, teams will need to nominate leadership to have a public negotiation of terms, where rules and/or win conditions may be agreed upon. This is to ensure that all games can be and feel unique, as well as being reflective of real war in the City.
IX. ARE THERE ANY SURPRISES?
Oh yes, absolutely. Commentators are there to give fun and colorful commentary -- but they may also be able to throw in a surprise challenge or two during the course of the event in the form of affixes. Each commentator is allowed one affix per event to throw a wrench into the mix. These will not be anything game-breaking, and they are not designed to turn the tide of the competition. However, limitation breeds creativity, so don't be afraid to lean into the challenge! This is a game, after all.
X. ARE THERE REWARDS OR PRIZES?
Yes! The winning team will receive a hefty stock reward funded by The Angelarium directly. However, there are also individual prizes and awards to be voted on by participants and the community to be given out at the closing ceremony. These include awards such as:
