This. Obviously. IDK if Mictian's writer is reading this, but the way that this reads like a published novel is SO exciting and so rare for forum RP. Everything is so vivid, and the interaction is so genuine. Dialogue is bomb. Characters are bomb. Ambiance is excellent.

If you've not read this, especially if you're a younger RB writer, you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD. Legends meeting legends. Please give it a try, you won't regret it.

Tied into my own feelings; Yawa has been exceptionally kind to me, after all, and I didn't want to mess with their vision. The question Mictian asks himself - is it okay to be vulnerable on the wall of someone who admires you? - that's very me, too. I don't have an answer, but I'm grateful it worked out this time.

I do write actual books these days (link to sample blurb edited in later!), incidentally, although not about vampires, and only in my spare time. Still making my living as a software engineer. Yawa needs to write a book, though; they're an absolute bombshell of a writer.

I just read that! I really enjoyed it—it has a Frank Herbert vibe to the writing style that I really like.
From what I gather, this is a sort of race of warriors? They were attacked, and Duara’s group perished in an ambush, while she did not. She's being pressured into not being truthful to fit the views of those above her and avoid further punishment—much at the larger cost of her own morals.
It was a really tense read. Really makes you feel for Duara, here.

I think, from what I know, that you often explore the subjects of stoicism and the endurance of philosophical truths against the odds and the personal consequences when they don't, in fact, endure. You like the Fight against the Self. You like the fight of ego vs duty.

It really resonates. I enjoyed that a lot. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
